Álvaro Siza, who has work in MoMA’s collection, was inspired by his iconic Leça Swimming Pool complex when designing this Diamond Watch for Lebond, a Barcelona-based brand that produces unique timepieces in collaboration with renowned architects. “I want to create something different,” says Siza. The case shape is based on the square pool built within the beach at Leça de Palmeira in Portugal while the hands are adapted from the minimal restroom signs that the architect has used in multiple projects. As comfortable as it is stylish, this watch has a durable black rubber strap, a lightweight micro-sanded matte titanium case, and a sapphire crystal face.
